Frequently asked questions

Below is a section of questions we are often asked as well as useful information.

Are your vehicles insured?

Yes. Our vehicles are all insured as private ambulance vehicles for funeral and repatriation including the delivery of ashes.

Do you use your vehicles for other purposes?

No. Our vehicles are purchased and only used for their intended use. I.E: T20 HRS is solely used for Into Care, Repatriation and the transfer of Infants and babies to the age of 18 years.

T25 HRS - Is our Into care, Bariatric transfer and repatriation by land and sea ambulance.

T29 HRS - Is our dedicated ashes transfer car and repatriation support vehicle.

Are T Hemsell Repatriation Staff Experienced?

Yes. All members of our team come from a background in the funeral industry and are chosen for their individual strengths and dedication.

Do you transfer ashes in bulk?

No? Our ashes return service is as personal as the person we are transporting, we believe that this service is carried out to the same level as all of our transfer duties and that the focus as always is on one family receiving their loved one on that chosen date.

Are all T Hemsell Repatriation vehicles fitted with trackers and why?

Yes? All of our vehicles are fitted with trackers that are integrated with live stream dash cams the same as those used by the emergency services.

The reason for this is for two reasons.

  1. We travel all over with the most precious cargo, your loved one. We feel that by having trackers with the ability to connect to the live stream camera not only gives valuable safety and security but also peace of mind to our contracting services.

  2. This gives us the ability to let families and contracted service users see where their loved one is by up to the minute live maps.

Do you collect more than one deceased?

Occasionally the need will arise where the contracting service will require the collection of more than one person from either the same or a location very close by to be transferred back to the same funeral home or care centre. We only use single deck ambulances so will never normally carry more than two persons at once.

Families will never be charged extra if we carry two persons on the funeral homes behalf, charging is kept separate.
